Every change to the SafeTravelGal Solo Female Safety Index is logged here in reverse-chronological order. Each entry records the version, date, reason for the change, datasets affected, and sources consulted. Nothing in the index changes without an entry in this log.

How version numbers work
Format
v{major}.{minor}
Major version increments when the scoring methodology changes (new sources, new formula, new weights). Minor version increments when dataset values are refreshed without formula changes.
What triggers a new version

- →Correcting a dataset value error
- →Quarterly scheduled refresh
Refresh cadence
Dataset values are reviewed on a quarterly schedule. Live government advisory feeds (US State Dept, UK FCDO, AU DFAT, CDC) are pulled every 6 hours and do not increment the dataset version.
